About Us…

Meet Nan Johnston.  Nan is the owner and founder of Southern Staging and Redesign. Located in  Newnan, Ga., just 30 minutes south of Atlanta, Ga.  Nan specializes in the enhancement of residential properties for maximum profits at a minimum costs.   

Nan has a background in the real estate field of over 20 years.  She comes from a family of realtors and builders and has experience in home renovations, décor, property management and marketing.  She knows how to “roll up her sleeves and get to work” and has the resources available to manage most any situation.  

As an experienced, retired realtor, she understands the point of view of a listing agent that wants their listings to sell as quickly as possible. According to Nan, “It is often very uncomfortable for an agent to make specific and often sensitive suggestions to a home seller about changes that a house may need to make it more competitive. Hiring a trained, professional staging consultant to come and work with the seller, allows the agent to be able to do what they do best, and that’s to market the house to find the best possible buyer for their client.” 

“I know from personal experience that it is difficult for buyers to visualize making changes to a home or look past the homeowner’s personal taste and belongings.  If they are able to see past the changes needed, they expect to purchase at a reduced price and usually the offer is significantly lower than the actual work would have cost the home owner.”
